Never Have a Tangled Extension Cord EVER!
very good explanation. Could you tell me why you selected a 2x4 for the facia rather than 6 in. material ? I am not a carpenter and just want to know ?
That was really helpful, thank you!
Thanks for that great demo, you have a really great approach and now I should be able to buzz thru some of my more complicated mitre cuts. Cheers
Just buy a Starrett Protractor Gauge and it does the math for you. Easy And it’s not that straightforward. Corners have a mud buildout from the drywall finisher. Lay a strait edge on just about any corner where your base will go in the same direction as the base molding and you will see what I’m talking about. It’s more of an art than a science.
Thank you! Question, how did you come up with the birds mouth at 3.5 inches. Watched a couple of times I missed something. You’re an awesome teacher. Just sub’ed.
Where is your accent from?
onlyfans?
I watched the video from the guy who wrote the roofer's bible, and..... yours is much much better. Thanks for taking time and buying the wood to make this video. Now, I have a question: The external rafters are longer than the internal ones, this so the facia fits inside and it makes the structure stronger. Right? Now, because of this, the facia is flush with the top of the external rafters, but is much lower than the internal ones, since they're shorter. Right? So this leaves a gap. Is this for ventilation? Do we have to close that gap?
👍
Great job with the video but I don't think I seen you account for hip drop on the 12 and 12 roof pitch that hip should drop 5/8 of an inch
99.999% Will make mistakes that's the only way you learn. The biggest mistake is not learning
There is nothing I don't know about that saw. I can even tell you some ways to get half degree differences in your cuts and angles. But I'm not a content creator.
No pilot hole in receiving piece. This will only work for expensive screws.
From TikTok ❤
Great video! When you did the birds mouth you mentioned the measurement 3 1/2. Is that what it is every time or how did you get that number based on your circumstances. Thanks so much for explaining. Made it really easy to understand!
Attempting my first board and batten wall and wrapping it around a bay window with 135 degree angles. I felt totally intimidated by this project until I watched your video! Thank you for your easy to follow tutorial!!
Handsome sexy
Welcome back ,sir. You been hitting the gym hard, bro. Glad you're back with these great tips too.
This is an old video but that is NOT a perfect fit. It should be, you might have moved but if that was stained it wouldn’t pass however “putty & paint makes a carpenter what he ain’t “. Joking with you, not that bad but I would like it just a little better.
bruh I need that work out plan bro
Really good video
Thanks
I wonder who this is for?
Hey brother tell us about what you’ve been doing to get these results, I’m 62 and trying to hang in there myself, any tips would be appreciated
The "jig" part was the best lesson! Thanks!
What is that thing flopping around on the end of your pencil?
You just saved me a lot of time and trouble there, buddy! Thanks!
Whenever I see baking soda it reminds of me when my sister first made pancakes when we were kids. She mixed up baking soda with baking powder.. the pancakes were terrible.
Wow. I didn't think it would be strong enough to bounce a hammer off of. Thank you for the tip
That miter saw is amazingly quiet
i can't even afford the angle finder much less that saw contraption u have there!!!!!!
like finding slope of a line
This video was Amazing
Welcome back, as always good tips 👍🏻
Great tips. Helps out quite a bit - for me personally anyway. Good to see you back! 👍🏼🇨🇦
I have watched so many videos on cable roofs. This is one of the best. At least one of the simplest examples. But I have yet to find a video that explains how to determine how you decide what pitch your roof should be for my situation. This is a 12 pitch. I have seen 6 pitch videos. I seen as low as 4 pitch videos. I have seen a video that said that 4 pitch is the standard minimum. 12 pitch is the standard maximum. But you can have a pitch anywhere between 4 pitch and 12 pitch. And it will displace the rain water. But how do you determine what pitch is best for your situation?
Thanks I learned something here
i had to lookup one of your old videos becouse i didnot remember you being bulked up like you are now .looking good man been hittin the gym hard.good to see you back.
Great video, Chris. Happy father's day.
I don’t know about Milwaukee. But on makitas there are holes in the fence that are countersunk to allow you to screw through the back of the fence to attach to jigs like that.
Welcome back Chris. Happy Father’s Day !!
👍
Glad your back!!!
Thanks
Good to see you back! You should add your TikTok videos on here as shorts...
Good idea!!
What’s the model of that Milwaukee mitre saw? Thanks bro
Simple but effective, thanks for sharing.
You're welcome!
Hope you had a great Father's Day, Chris. Personally, I'm happy you're back. Looks like you've been in the gym.As always, this is a splendid explanation of how to use the tool correctly to make an angled cut.
Thanks so much sir.
This is the math I needed to learn instead of learning pre-calculus.
Hi mate , I been a carpenter for 30 years, And I have learned something new, Thanks for sharing this 👍
I don't understand how setting the saw to 30 degrees gives you a 60 degree cut
Or just use this calculation…180-120/2 is 30….or 120/2 and subtract you answer by 90 both give you your setting .
